Seeking South follows trail runner Keisuke Minami as he takes on the fastest-known-time challenge of the Grand Randon茅e 10 (GR10)鈥攁 grueling 914 km journey across the Pyrenees in Southern France, from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. The route typically takes 45鈥�60 days to complete, but Minami sets out to finish in just over 9 days.
Why would someone willingly endure pain, isolation and total exhaustion? What might keep them running? Minami, whose name means “south” in Japanese, runs across the mountains as the film pursues the story behind his relentless drive.
